Akon Freedom Beach Concert was AWESOME! It's been a while since I last went to any concerts. The last one was in 2007 for Boys 2 Men World Tour at Genting Highland.
I'm actually not a die-hard-fan of Akon but somehow, I find his songs very soothing. Great melodies, unique vocal, nice lyrics..He captured my heart with his signature tunes like Right Na-Na-Na, I'm So Paid, Beautiful, Be With You and the list goes on...
The concert was opened by the talented Nikky and Caprice before Akon showed up on the stage. He started the concert with his new songs from his latest album, Freedom. What a good performer he was..We got excited when he took off his shirt and showed off his body!
I guess I wasn't lucky enough to get to see him for the after-party but it was worth it to see him on stage singing live for his fans (despite the miming part which I only knew at the end of the concert).. Anyways, it was a great show indeed!
Owh yeah! Lemme share with you how I managed to get the money to buy the tix...As you know, I'm jobless...So spending money on entertainment like this is a big NO-NO for me at the moment...So what I did was, I had a talk with my sister and made her pay me for the housechores I did for her! I went to her house in Sunway a week before the concert: I mopped the floor, washed the toilet, cleaned the room and kitchen and taaraaaaa! RM100 for the tix! Thank you sista!
So Akon, you better appreciate this fan of yours...I worked hard to see you live! ;)

we did the housechores together la! cuma beza last time, she only asked for 50 cents the most for the extra jobs that i was lazy to do..but now charges have increased to rm100...aiyoo...hahahaha....
